We know what matters most.
Clear vision & great style are paramount in your choice
Need some fashionable frames? Our office carries a diverse frame inventory, including the brands you want, so you can find a favorite one to fit your unique style. Have a hard time choosing a frame or can’t see them without your usual glasses on? Let us help you choose with our digital dispensing system. Our staff uses a tablet to take pictures of you in your frame choices, so you can compare up to four choices at once.
We are also happy to take or send the pictures to your phone, so you can get your friends to help you decide. If glasses are not your style, we have a huge selection of contacts to help you see well, while ensuring your eyes stay healthy too. Our office offers everything from daily disposables, to a variety of colored options, to those FDA-approved for overnight wear. We even have a set of specialty lenses on sight to fit those with high astigmatism and irregular corneas, who have sometimes been told they aren’t a candidate for contacts.
Spending a lot of time on digital devices like smartphones, tablets, or computers can stress eyes in a variety of ways. Special lenses can help relieve the strain from prolonged focusing, and artificial tears and other treatments, like moisture-releasing contact lenses, can help with dryness. Current research implicates low wavelength blue light, such as that emitted from these digital devices, in contributing to macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss in older adults. Specialized lenses and coatings are available to protect the eyes from this light, while also providing increased clarity and more comfortable vision.
Staying up late on the computer, sometimes also means falling asleep in contact lenses. Comprehensive eye exams monitor the structures of the eye for damage related poor contact lens wear habits. Wearing lenses not made to provide adequate oxygen to the eye for overnight wear, or wearing lenses past the recommended replacement interval (often 1 month), puts your eyes at risk for serious sight threatening complications. These can include painful corneal ulcers and scarring, or recurrent infections. Finding the right contacts for a preferred wear schedule and examining eyes to know they are healthy with that combination will ensure great vision and eye health for years to come.
